Privacy Policy
The short version: your alarms and your mornings belong to you. We collect as little as possible, we never sell anything, and there are no third-party ads.
Last updated: October 1, 2026. This policy covers the Erly mobile app and the erly.online website (together, "Erly"). Erly is operated by Rocky Kumar ("we", "us").
1. Data that stays on your device
The core of Erly runs entirely on your phone. Your alarms, alarm labels, wake-up challenge settings (math difficulty, QR codes, voice phrases), morning missions, habit streaks and locally-computed statistics are stored on your device and are not uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly turn on Cloud Backup (Premium).
2. Data we process, and why
- App functionality: Erly schedules system alarms so they fire even when the app is closed. This uses your device's alarm/notification system and happens locally.
- Cloud Backup (optional, Premium): if you enable backup, your alarm and mission settings are stored in our cloud storage so they survive reinstalling or changing phones. Backing up is your choice; you can disable it at any time.
- Purchases: if you subscribe to Erly Premium, the purchase is processed by the app store (Google Play / Apple App Store). We receive only a confirmation of entitlement — we never see or store your card details.
- Support: if you email us, we keep your message and email address only as long as needed to help you.
3. Permissions the app may request
- Alarms & reminders: to fire your alarms reliably.
- Microphone: only if you set a Voice challenge — used to hear your phrase at alarm time, processed on-device.
- Camera: only if you use QR challenges — used to scan your code, processed on-device.
- Activity/step detection: only if you use Walk challenges — used to count steps, on-device.
Denying a permission never breaks the rest of the app; it only disables the corresponding challenge type.
4. The erly.online website
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It is static — we do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on it, and we do not set marketing cookies. The only external resources are web fonts (Google Fonts), which your browser may request directly from Google when you visit.
5. What we never do
- We never sell, rent or trade your data.
- We never show third-party ads in the app or on the website.
- We never read the contents of your alarm challenges (they exist on your device).
6. Children
Erly is a general-audience productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and deletion
You can delete the app at any time, which removes all locally stored data from your device. To request deletion of cloud-backed data or ask anything about this policy, email us and we will action it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.
